Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest hosts a Spring Indiana Master Naturalist program April 6 through June 15. The 10-session course will be held from 8-11 a.m. every Saturday, with the exception of April 13.

This hands-on learning experience and volunteer service opportunity teaches students about the native landscape and local wildlife of northwest Indiana. Sessions on botany, wild flowers, geology, water ecology and wildlife conservation will be taught by area experts.

Open to adults age 18 and over, the course fees are $75 for arboretum members and $100 for non-members. Participants should dress for the outdoors, whether rain or shine. Registration is required at click for details by Friday, March 29.

The Indiana Master Naturalist program is sponsored by the Resource Conservation & Development Councils, Indiana Soil & Water Conservation Districts, Purdue Cooperative Extension Service and Indiana Department of Natural Resources. For more information, click for details
