More About Community Healthcare System Walk & Talk at Gabis Aboretum

A popular program that pairs walking with health education is back this year through a partnership between Community Healthcare System and Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest.

The Walk and Talk series will feature healthcare providers and a Gabis naturalist leading a leisurely walk along the trails at the arboretum. Participants will hear health and wellness tips, along with information about native plants and wildlife. Walkers of all ages are invited to participate in these free events:

• 11 am, Wednesday, April 20: with Michael Simpson, MD, Bariatric Medicine
• 11 am, Wednesday, May 25: with Joseph Danavi, DO, Cardiology
• 6 pm, Wednesday, June 29, with Catherine Pieroni, FNP, Immediate Care

Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest is located at 450 W 100 N, Valparaiso. Attendees will meet at the Celebration Rose Pavilion and walk the grounds. Golf cart transportation will be available for those who choose not to walk. Arboretum admission fees will be waived for those participating in the walk.
