More About Northwest Indiana Warming Centers ๐Ÿงกโ„๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

As the wind chills and temperatures drop below freezing, we'd like to remind everyone that there will be temporary, emergency warming centers available for residents in need of a place to warm up during severe cold weather temperatures and power outages. ๐Ÿงกโ„๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Warming centers are facilities that provide relief from extreme cold weather conditions and typically do not have a formal plan to offer long-term relief, food, or other refreshments.

Hours, days, and locations are subject to change at any moment, or be extended under extreme conditions - so it is advisable to always contact the non-emergency number for your local police department, fire department, or 211 to confirm the information and for assistance. A Community Navigator can be reached 24/7 at 2-1-1.

Stay safe and warm!
