Join us for the 3rd Annual Friday Night Fights – Badges vs Bad Guys Charity Boxing Event.

Friday July 13th gates open at 6:00 pm and the bouts begin at 7:00 pm. The tournament, organized by Lake County Athletic and Boxing Club, raises money to fund scholarships for at-risk youth. The sanctioned matches plan to pit “average Joes” against local politicians, police officers, fire fighters or other figures.

Enjoy a weekend of family fun at the only IPRA sanctioned rodeo in Lake County.
Saturday July 14th gates open at 5:00pm and the Rodeo kicks off at 7:00pm. Come early and enjoy dinner and a cool drink under the midway tent. Dare to test your skills on the mechanical bull and watch the kids bounce around in the moonwalk. Live Music from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and 9:00pm – 11:00pm.

Sunday July 15th is FAMILY DAY! Gates open at Noon and the rodeo begins at 2:00 pm. We have lots of fun for the whole family. A FREE petting zoo, $3 pony rides, and $2 moonwalk. The beer garden and food will be available as well as rodeo souvenirs.

The IPRA Championship Rodeo comes to Wauconda July 14 & 15
The Wauconda Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the IPRA Championship Rodeo for the 55th consecutive year. This year’s Rodeo bursts out of the gate on Saturday, July 14th at 5:00 p.m. with pre-rodeo fun including a mechanical bull, food booths, Beer Garden and merchandise vendors. The Rodeo performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and include dazzling routines by the Midwest Renegade Equestrian Drill Team, flashy trick riders, and fun antics from the rodeo clowns mixed in with the six exciting rodeo events: Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Cowgirl Barrel Racing, Steer Roping and Tie-Down Roping. Live band before and after the Rodeo.

The fun returns on Sunday, July 15th when gates open at Noon for “Family Day”. The pre-rodeo festivities feature a free petting zoo, $3 pony rides and a kids moonwalk. The delicious food booths will be open as well as the Beer Garden, mechanical bull and vendors. Then, at 2:00 p.m. the IPRA Championship Rodeo begins with the return of the Midwest Renegade Equestrian Drill Team, specialty acts, and professional cowboys and cowgirls from across the country that will round up competitive rodeo excitement for fans of all ages.

The action takes place at the Golden Oaks Equestrian Center located on Case Road and IL Route 12 (Rand Road) in Wauconda, one mile north of IL Route 176.

Rodeo tickets purchased at the gate are $15 for adults and $6 for children ages 5-11. Children 4 and under are FREE! Parking is $7 per vehicle. Starting June 1st advance Rodeo tickets are available online. Advance tickets are also available at the Wauconda Area Chamber of Commerce office (100 N. Main Street, Wauconda) and Wauconda Community Bank ( 495 W Liberty St, Wauconda).
