More About Kiwanis Club of Matthews
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Our club offers something for everyone - from projects for children & teens to an array of community service projects. The Kiwanis Club of Matthews was chartered on Sept. 28, 1990 and has since grown and brought together local business, professional and community leaders in a fellowship of learning, caring and serving. Kiwanis International is one of the largest service organizations in the world. Kiwanians across the globe devote more than six million hours of service to our communities. Some things the Kiwanis Club of Matthews sponsors: School Clothes for Kids; Matthews Gives Back; Butler, Providence and Trinity High School Key Clubs; Aktion Club; Terrific Kids; Labor Day 5k Race; Annual Pancake Breakfast; Kiwanis Club of Matthews Golf Tournament; Holiday Tree & Wreath Sales, and the Tiny Tim Christmas Tree (whereby members of our community assist in providing holiday gifts for more than 100 children and senior members of our community).
We meet every Thursday from 12:15p to 1:15p. We invite you to attend a meeting to meet people who enjoy friendly fellowship while learning more about opportunities for service in the Matthews Community.
