Christmas at the Indianapolis Zoo

More About Christmas at the Indianapolis Zoo

The tradition of Christmas at the Zoo is now bigger than ever. In 2017, we added thousands more lights as well as the enchanted, new Santa's Village under the Bicentennial Pavilion. The whimsical wintertime scenes feel as if you've stepped inside a snow globe! A visit to Christmas at the Zoo is unlike any other, as we bring together the best of the holiday season with a "wild" twist!

The Zoo opens at noon, so come early to visit your favorite cold-weather critters, like tigers, red panda, brown bears, walrus and others. Then watch as the beautiful twinkling lights come on at dusk, covering the Zoo with a warm glow, creating a magical nighttime experience. Christmas at the Zoo is free for Zoo members and included with regular Zoo admission.

November 23 - December 30, 12pm-9pm Sunday-Thursday and 12pm-10pm Friday & Saturday. (Closed Christmas Eve and Day, New Year's Eve and Day)
