A Spring Awakening: Connect with Emerging Nature of Spring

A Spring Awakening: Connect with Emerging Nature of Spring

More About A Spring Awakening: Connect with Emerging Nature of Spring

We will gather inside to meet and introduce the program. We will then continue outside where we will perform some gentle stretches and centering exercises to open our awareness to the natural world. We will honor the history of the land we will be spending our time on before moving into a walking meditation of the grounds. After walking meditation, the invitation will be for each individual to have a sit spot practice in a location that calls to them. (A sit spot is simply a favorite place in nature that you visit to cultivate awareness as you expand your senses and study patterns of local plants, birds, trees, animals, etc.) The sound of chimes will queue the end of individual meditation and bring us back together as a group for tea and council practice under the trees. (Council Practice is when we come back together as a group and gather in a circle. Each person is then given the opportunity to share his/her experience of nature meditation, which allows each member to benefit from the wisdom contained in the whole.) We’ll gently close and enter back into our daily life with a clear mind and connected heart.
