    Building Brickies's Mission
To provide the information, support, and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.

    Building Brickies Goals
The early years of a child's life are critical for optimal development and provide the foundation for success in school and in life.  Parents are their child's first and most influential teachers. Established and emerging research should be the foundation of parent education and family support curricula, training, materials, and services. All young children and their families deserve the same opportunities to succeed, regardless of any demographic, geographic, or economic considerations. An understanding and appreciation of the history and traditions of diverse cultures is essential in serving families. Building Brickies School City of Hobart A Growing partnership with The School City of Hobart, local preschools, healthcare providers, and community service organizations. In order to promote literacy development, a free book is given to each family at at Personal Home Visits, and parents are encouraged to participate in our Book Swaps at playgroups.

Building Brickies Parents Say... (formerly known as PAT)

"PAT has benefited not only Reagan in terms of her learning and development, but it has helped us as parents to realize we are not alone in our parenting challenges.  Our Parent Educator gives us great suggestions on not only helping and enhancing Reagan to learn and develop, but also in us becoming better parents.  We look forward to our monthly visits with our Educator as well as to the playgroups.  I really wish PAT had unlimited resources because more Hobart families with young ones could benefit from PAT!"  - Alice S., PAT Parent

"The students who have been involved in the Parents as Teachers program in Hobart have come into the classroom preprared and unafraid of school.  They have supportive families, and the Parent Educators often check up on the kids to see how they are doing throughout the year."  - Rhonda C., PAT Parent and Kindergarten Teacher
