About Me

I am a board certified family nurse practitioner since 2019. I began my career in 2006 as a registered nurse in a neuro intensive care unit in my home state of Rhode Island. I worked there for 4 years. For the next 6 years, I worked as the assistant manager of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Rhode Island Hospital. In 2016, I had decided to go back to graduate school to become a family nurse practitioner, at that time, I took a position as a registered nurse in the emergency department at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. After graduation, I wanted to move out of Rhode Island. To be honest, I had no idea where Allegany County was in Maryland when I first applied for a Family NP position at a local practice. The most common question people asked me when I first moved here, was “why would you move here?” For a long time I couldn’t really answer that question adequately. The COVID 19 pandemic arrived not long after I moved here and the resulting shut down made exploration difficult. But over the past few years, Allegany County stole a piece of my heart. I decided not only to stay, but open my own practice, so I could take the time with my patients to listen and provide truly individualized primary care services. So here I am, a city girl who fell in love with country life. That said, I am a Red Sox fan for life! Don’t even try to change my mind.
