A COVID-19 Message from us at Watson Funeral Services and Crematory,
What is happening in our country and the world at this time with COVID19 is unprecedented. Many businesses have been affected, and the funeral, cemetery, and crematory profession are no different.
Watson Funeral Services & Crematory is prepared to Safely Care For Families During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our staff is constantly cleaning high touched areas, such as chairs, door knobs, faucets and any other areas that someone may come in contact with. We do have sanitizers available throughout our facility. We asked that when you come into the Funeral Home, before we begin to honor the wishes of your loved one, to please take the time to wash your hands.
Watson Funeral Services and Crematory will be open whenever there are families who need our services. Our telephones are answered 24-hours a day and whenever possible Watson Funeral Services will continue to participate in rituals that are most important to the families.
At Watson Funeral Services, we recognize our responsibility to protect the health of those we are privileged to serve. We will continue to guide families, as we always have, in ways they can meaningfully commemorate the life of their loved one, while adhering to the guidance issued by federal, state and local public health officials. CDC, State and Federal Government Authorities have requested that gatherings be limited, social distancing has been advised and universal precautions for safety have been published.
For these and other reasons, you may find that in-person attendance at the funeral service for your loved one may be less than expected and the guidelines are requesting no more than 10 people be at a social gathering. Another alternative service, to stay within the guidelines, would be to have a Private Committal Service at the graveside so we can practice the safe distancing recommendation. A Memorial Service can be held at a later date if you so desire.
We have the capability to broadcast services online from our funeral home chapel, which will allow those who can't come, due to social distancing to attend services through social media. Watson Funeral Services also has a drive-thru window, giving you the capability to view your loved one without entering the funeral home.
It is our plan to honor and accommodate your wishes as best we can, within the parameters of safety for you, your family, the public and the funeral home staff, while adhering to the guidance issued by federal, state and local public health.
