Paws in the Park | 9:00am - 3:00pm | Charity, FundraiserPaws in the Park - Paws in the Park is a walk-a-thon and vendor fair that helps raise much-needed funds for the animals of Humane Society Calumet Area. The vendor fair will feature family- and pet-friendly vendors and have a carnival theme with games, food, entertainment, contests, and more! The event is free and open to the public. Walkers are encouraged to raise pledges to participate in the walk. The walk begins at 10:15 a.m.

Free USA Swimming Foundation ‘Make a Splash’ learn-to-swim session | 9:00am - 11:00am | KidsFree USA Swimming Foundation ‘Make a Splash’ learn-to-swim session - Featuring U.S. Olympic Gold Medalists, the USA Swimming Foundation will host free life-saving learn to swim sessions on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Learn the importance of swim lessons with parents, children, educators and community leaders. USA Swimming Foundation staff will answer questions about the Make a Splash initiative and bring awareness on a serious topic by including children in fun activities about water safety.
This year marks the seventh year of USA Swimming Foundation’s Make a Splash initiative. Through the dedication of 700 local partners across all 50 states, the campaign works by aligning the top learn-to-swim resources in an effort to save lives. The Foundation has provided swim lessons for more than 3 million children nationwide and granted more than $3 Million for swim lessons.

Created by Runner's World Magazine, Bob Anderson, this race is a fun and unique experience for runners of all ages...even the kids!!
The halftime is called the Recovery Zone, and this is where runners can stretch, listed to live music, talk with healthcare professionals, and even get a massage!
Three races available:
15k (10k + 5k)
8k (5k + 3k)
Kids Cup Challenge (1mi + .5mi)
$2000 Prize money ($1000 for men, $1000 for women) for a world record!
Earn points in the Championship Race for a chance to win a $15,000 purse!
