Cleveland’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) plays an urgent and exciting role in the city's cultural landscape. As a non-collecting institution and the region’s only contemporary art museum, MOCA is ever-changing, introducing new exhibitions three times a year and creating fresh experiences for visitors each season. Since its founding in 1968, MOCA has presented the works of more than 2,000 artists to our region, often through artists’ first solo shows.

MOCA acts as both conduit and catalyst for anyone seeking creativity and inspiration.

For 45 years, MOCA, Northeast Ohio’s only contemporary art museum, has brought the art and ideas of our time to Cleveland and beyond. MOCA was the first in the region to exhibit the works of vanguard artists like Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Laurie Anderson, Roy Lichtenstein, and Christo; and we continue to bring the work of emerging and established regional, national, and international artists to our area.

    - Welcome to The Depression And Bipolar Wellness Alliance. We offer support groups to all those who suffer from depression, bipolar disorder, and schizo-affective disorder. We promote wellness, provide public education, and resist stigma by raising awareness to the plight of the mentally ill. We foster a safe, compassionate environment and invite you to be vulnerable. It's o.k. to be frustrated, to cry, to hurt, or to share stressful life events. People move from illness to recovery, from isolation to lasting friendships. Many members believe that the support of peers is more beneficial than that offered by mental health professionals, or those who do not suffer from a mental illness. Try as they might they simply don't understand. If you're well or suffering your welcome here.

FRIDAY FORUM: Ninth Coast Guard District: Ensuring the safety, security and stewardship of our national treasure

Rear Admiral June E. Ryan assumed duty as the Ninth Coast Guard District Commander in June 2015. She is the senior Coast Guard Commander for the Great Lakes and Saint Lawrence Seaway, an area that encompasses eight states, a 1,500 mile international border, and a workforce of more than 6,000 Coast Guard active duty, reserve, civilian and auxiliary men and women.

The U.S. Coast Guard is the only military organization within the Department of Homeland Security that is charged with protecting not only the marine transportation system and infrastructure; but also our natural and economic resources; and the territorial integrity of our nation – from both internal and external threats, natural and man-made. They protect these interests in U.S. ports, inland waterways, along the coasts, and on international waters.

Within the Ninth Coast Guard District, primary responsibilities include delivering multi-mission services in search and rescue, maritime safety and security, environmental protection, maritime law enforcement, aids to navigation and ice-breaking. What does the future of the great lakes look like to the stewards of the lakes?

Join us for the annual State of the Great Lakes forum, a conversation with Rear Admiral June E. Ryan, Commander of the U.S. Coast Guard Ninth Guard District.

This event will be held in the Parma-Snow Branch Story/Craft Room. Speakers will begin at 12:30 p.m.
