Starting in 2016, Chick-fil-A Bowl will host a national Semifinal Game (#1 vs. #4 or #2 vs. #3) four times over the next 12 years. In the other eight years, the Bowl will host top ranked teams from around the country as assigned by a selection committee. The bowl will be located in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia Dome.

    - Assistance League® of Greater Placer is once again hosting a concert fundraiser to support its philanthropic programs. “A Little Night Music” is an ensemble featuring: Bob Draga, clarinet; with Jason Wanner, piano; Shelley Denny, bass; and Ron Jones, drums. The event will be held:

    • February 12, 2017
    • Rocklin Event Center, 2650 Sunset Blvd, Rocklin
    • 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. no-host bar
    • Concert and dancing from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

    Enjoy the no-host bar serving cocktails, beer and wine along with light snacks. Dessert will be offered at intermission.

    Cost is $35.00 per person of which $15.00 is tax-deductible.

    With this concert, funds raised at this event will help Assistance League continue its philanthropic programs that are administered by over 200 volunteers in our local communities. Some of these programs provided school clothing and supplies for over 3,065 children, 2,160 teddy bears to comfort traumatized children, among other programs, listed in part, classroom tutoring and life skill classes, puppet programs on bullying and safety to over 3,292 children in kindergarten through third grades.

    Free Parking!! – Over 60 vendors, 4 buildings, plus outside grounds ~ full of activities, special exhibits, vendors inside and outside, bringing treasures from all over the world. Featuring: Crystals, Fossils, Minerals, Brilliant Ethiopian Opal, Beads, Gemstones, Gold Panning - take home real gold! Meteorites, and for Kids - “Education Station". Also; Polished Stones, Jade, Opal, World Class Mineral Specimens, Tourmaline, Gold Nuggets, Prospecting detectors, equipment, and supplies, Petrified Wood, Stone carvings.
