* 36 miles (finishers qualify for the LA Triple Crown) FROM I-10 Launch (Shadow Bluff) TO Abbeville Hwy 14 launch (308 Veterans Memorial Dr, Abbeville, LA 70510)

* 12 miles - FROM I-10 launch (Shadow Bluff) TO Café 20.3

*Litter Critters: Not a race, just paddling on the banks to see which paddler and paddling team picks up the most trash by the time the last racer arrives. Paddle, eat, and do something good for the Vermilion! Great activity for non-racing spouses or a family outing! Grab some co-workers and make a team!

Bayou Vermilion Paddle Battle offers a 36 mile race. It is the second race of the Louisiana Triple Crown series. The first race of the series is the Ouachita River 49er and concludes with the Tour du Teche .

Open to all human powered boats.

Registration for all 4 races and Litter Abatement crews include:

Entry, plate lunch, participation, a morning on the water, and helping raise awareness of the condition of our Vermilion River.
