Grammy-nominated vocalist Perla Batalla, once a cherished member of Leonard Cohen’s inner circle, brings her velvety voice and deeply personal connection to this tribute. Encouraged by Cohen to launch her solo career, Batalla has since recorded seven albums, created acclaimed theatrical works including a Frida Kahlo musical, and performed in prestigious venues around the world. Her concert homage to Cohen, In the House of Cohen, continues to draw sold-out audiences internationally, and her ongoing outreach work introducing young people to music and language has earned her multiple honors, including two United Nations awards.
Joining her is Grammy-winning Broadway star Patrick Page, whose commanding bass-baritone voice has often been compared to Cohen’s own. Widely recognized for his Tony-nominated performance as Hades in Hadestown, Page has appeared in more than 15 Broadway productions, including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Spring Awakening, and A Man for All Seasons, along with numerous film and television roles such as The Gilded Age, In the Heights, and Schmigadoon!. His deep reverence for Cohen’s artistry brings emotional richness and dramatic power to every performance.
