Safari North Wildlife Park Hosts 4th Annual Kids Weekend & Enrichment Workshop

WHAT:
Kids Weekend at Safari North Wildlife Park
An interactive, family-friendly weekend celebration highlighting the 4th Annual Kids Weekend at Safari North Wildlife Park. The event features live educational performances, strolling entertainment, and unique hands-on conservation activities designed specifically for children. All special event activities are entirely free with standard park admission.
The park's anchor experiences also include camel rides, giraffe feeding stations, gemstone mining, and the 10-acre Expedition Safari locomotive train ride. The 2026 general operating season runs daily from May 9 through October 5.

Park Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily (Last gate entry at 4:30 PM)

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Jr. Zookeeper Workshop: Kids dressing up as zookeepers and building custom enrichment items for the zoo's animals.
National Yo-Yo Master: Dazzling Dave performing gravity-defying tricks and teaching youth about the professional sport.
Strolling Entertainment: Live comedy, magic, and juggling routines weaving through the crowds by performer Don B.
The Painted Turtles: Live face-painting transformations of attending children into their favorite animals.

About Safari North Wildlife Park
Founded in 2014 by exotic animal experts Kevin and Kelly Vogel, Safari North boasts over 50 combined years of specialized husbandry experience. The facility is fully ZAA-Accredited and won the Animal Exhibit Award of Excellence in 2021. The park houses over 150 unique species spanning six continents, providing an up-close educational environment aimed at lifelong conservation respect.
