Celebrated as one of America’s premier Motown tribute productions, Shadows of the 60s brings the unforgettable sound, style, and spirit of Motown to life with dazzling choreography, rich vocal harmonies, stunning costumes, and the timeless songs that became the soundtrack of generations.
This highly interactive and visually stunning production recreates the energy of a classic Motown concert, circa 1964. Backed by the rhythm and soul of The Shadows of the 60s orchestra, “The Funk Cousins,” the show captures the feel of the legendary musicians who powered the Motown sound. Close your eyes and you will hear the magic of Motown; open them and you will feel like you are experiencing a front-row seat to one of the greatest eras in music history.
Audiences can expect a spectacular tribute to Motown’s most beloved super groups, including the smooth moves and unforgettable sound of The Temptations, the powerful soul of The Four Tops, and the timeless hits made famous by The Supremes, The Marvelettes, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, Mary Wells, Gladys Knight, and more. The show also celebrates the romantic duets of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, featuring classics such as “You’re All I Need to Get By,” “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing,” “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” and “Heaven Must Have Sent Your Precious Love.”
The evening builds to a jaw-dropping grand finale honoring Motown’s seemingly endless roster of stars, including Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Junior Walker & The Allstars, The Contours, and more.
