More About 2nd Annual Bike to Earth Day Event

he City of Bloomington will be hosting the second annual Bike to Earth Day event at Switchyard Park on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 1:00-5:00pm.

The event is FREE and open to the public, and will feature live music, food and drinks, local vendors, raffles, tree giveaways, and more.

This years event is hosted as a joint effort between the Department of Economic and Sustainable Development, Go Bloomington, and the Parks and Recreation Department. Registration is not required.

🧠Climate Change Education: Throughout the day, the Department of Economic and Sustainable Development will host informational discussions on how residents can consider climate action, with two featured discussions on Climate Change and Health and Going Green with Battery Powered Lawn Equipment
🌎Eco Heroes Art Competition: Vote on your favorite art pieces from the Environmental Commission's Eco Heroes Art Competition.
⚡EV Ride and Drive: Greater Indiana Clean Cities will be present, along with a variety of auto vendors, to discuss the opportunities to transition to an electric vehicle. Residents will have the opportunity to test out EV's and learn more about access to charging from the experts.
🌳Native Tree Seedling Giveaway: Pick up a free tree seedling to plant and grow your own tree! Help sequester emissions in Bloomington and expand our native tree canopy!
🏀Meet and Greet with IU Basketball Player Anthony Leal: Go Bloomington will offer an opportunity to win an e-bike or Little 500 Bike, as well as the opportunity to get a t-shirt signed by Anthony Leal for those that register for the platform.
🌾Volunteer Recognition: Join the City's Parks and Recreation Department in celebrating the community's most dedicated volunteers.
