More About Auburn Winds "Wherever The Winds May Blow" Concert
Auburn Winds Concert Band continues its 2024 season with "Wherever The Winds May Blow," a free indoor concert at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 19. Conductor Jim Kepfer will lead a fun afternoon of music including Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King," Percy Grainger's "The Immovable Do," selections from Broadway and movie soundtracks, a Barry Manilow medley, and other favorites.
The family-friendly concert will take place at the Placer High School Theater, near High and Agard Streets in Auburn. Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted. Auburn Winds is a community concert band with 30 volunteer musicians of all ages. In 2016 it was proclaimed the Official Town Band of Auburn. Auburn Winds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
