More About Carmel-Seiffen Sister City Kick-Off Celebration

The Mission of the Carmel Seiffen Sister City Committee to cultivate and develop partnerships with Seiffen, Saxony and the Erzgebirge region of Germany that strengthen the cultural fabric of our communities and engage our Carmel citizens and businesses through educational, artistic, technological, and economic relationships with partners in Germany. The committee is recruiting volunteers to serve in various ways to help further the mission of connecting our two communities! Interested in becoming a new member? ✅THE COMMITTEES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Manages the organization, strategic development and supporting committee chairs, members and volunteers.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Help plan events, conceptualize booth set-ups, find speaking opportunities, work with library and other sister cities, support and join other local organizations during their events

MEMBERSHIP AND VOLUNTEERS
Encourage local residents to join the Carmel Seiffen Committee, staff events, create/manage social events for community building among volunteers, create/manage sign-ups for events

COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
Create Website, social media presence, write press releases, create brand, work closely with City of Carmel’s marketing and graphic design department

EDUCATION
Create/manage cultural exchange between schools in Carmel and Seiffen, manage/organize International Festival participation at schools, woodworking workshops, support German departments and teachers

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Facilitate trade exchanges between Carmel and Seiffen, networking with the international community, identify mutually beneficial sponsorship opportunities, make connections

ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT
Artistic exchanges, art contests, art displays in both cities, musical exchanges, performing arts

FUNDRAISING
Dine and Donate, Carmel Christkindlmarkt Werkstatt collaboration, write grants, work with business development committee on sponsorships

EXCHANGES AND VISITORS
Bring people from Carmel and Seiffen together, both virtual and in person, create host family program for visitors here and there, online community
