REACH (Rape Education, Advocacy, Counseling and Healing) is one of many services available from the Charleston-based Counseling Connection, which is a private non-profit agency founded in 1929. REACH has assisted thousands of sexual assault survivors in recovering from the trauma of sexual violence. Support is available to anyone- woman, man, child- who has been affected by sexual harrassment, stalking, cyber stalking, sexual abuse, or rape. In addition, REACH provides educational programs designed to prevent sexual violence and training programs aimed at increasing the knowledge of professionals (law enforcement, medical personnel, counselors, teachers, etc.) in addressing the issue of sexual violence in their professional capacity.
