When we experience challenging situations or are caught in difficult thought patterns it can provoke anxiety. From a Buddhist perspective, we can use adverse conditions to pacify our anxiety and prevent future suffering through compassion and wisdom practices.

In this talk, Gen Chokyi will explore the following:
- How to recognize and reduce difficult though patterns
- How to transform adversity through a wisdom line of thought
- Learning the visualization and recitation of a special breathing meditation that functions to pacify anxiety

"Compassion is a mind that is motivated by cherishing other living beings and wishes to release them from their suffering.” — Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
