Beautiful Downtown Talkeetna is located at Mile 14 at the end of the Talkeetna Spur Road. We are Mile 11.7, which is 2.3 miles before you get Downtown right on the Talkeetna Spur Road and the corner of Love-Lee Lane. There is a paved bike path that runs the entire length of the Spur Road, right next to our property. In addition, we are located centrally to many great walking-distance activities, such as many x-country ski trails, X-Y Lakes, Christiansen Lake, Denali and Alaska Range Lookout, Flying Squirrel Bakery & Café, Talkeetna Alaska Lodge Dining Room, and much more. Local taxi and shuttle services run 24-7 to keep you moving to where you need to be, especially for a fun day Downtown looking at all the fantastic eclectic and interesting shops, bars & restaurants. There is certainly lots to do and see on any day, in any conditions.Talkeetna is the Native Athabascan word meaning “where three rivers meet”. We sit at the confluence of the Talkeetna, Chulitna and Little Susitna Rivers which make up the Big Susitna River which moves the third largest volume of water in North America.
