More About Blood Cancer in the Black Community: Engaging in Your Health to Build a Better YOU!

This program empowers participants to take control of their health while addressing the higher rates of certain cancers, such as myeloma, within the Black community. It provides knowledge, resources, and confidence-building strategies to navigate systemic barriers and cultural stigmas that can delay timely care.
Attendees will gain practical tools to advocate for themselves and their loved ones, ask informed questions in medical settings, and make confident decisions regarding screenings, lifestyle changes, and treatment options. The session also highlights the comprehensive support services available through Blood Cancer United and partner community organizations.
By fostering awareness, education, and action, the program seeks to change the health narrative. Participants are encouraged to come for information, stay for connection, and leave empowered to make meaningful health decisions.
