General Duties: The position, under the general supervision of the Police Sergeant, is responsible for assisting the Police Department in various support areas, including patrol of Village park areas, vacation house checks, parking enforcement, animal control, vehicular lock-outs, processing complaints, and ordinance enforcement.

Position Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with one to three years of current, or past Police Explorer participant, or former law enforcement experience preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.

Compensation & Benefits: The starting wage is $21.84/hour, DOQ and includes participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension plan.

Hours Per Week: Applicants should be expected to work an average of 20 hours per week.
