More About Pottery Classes in La Porte
The La Porte Park and Recreation Department is taking registrations for Pottery Classes. Local Artist, Alayna Bublitz, will lead class participants to make functional pottery while learning the proper techniques in throwing clay forms on a pottery wheel or by hand sculpting.
Wheel Throwing Classes will be offered on Thursdays 6-8 p.m. beginning February 24-April 14 with pick up on April 21.
Monday evenings 6-8 p.m., beginning April 18-June 13 (no class May 30) with pick up on June 20.
Hand Sculpting classes will be offered Wednesday mornings 9-11 a.m. from March 9-April 6 with pick up on April 13.
The fee for each session is $95.
All classes require pre-registration and tend to fill quickly. Call the Park office at 219-326-9600 weekdays 8 a.m.-4 p.m. or stop in at 250 Pine Lake Avenue to register. Classes will all be held in the Ceramics Room of the Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge Street.
