More About A. Hays Town Home Tour
Register for an exclusive tour of the A. Hays Town home of Drew Hoffpauir Jr. and Lance Thomas. Built in 1964 for Dr. Louis and Mrs. Shirley Bonin, this 4,326 sqft two-story brick home features a 4 bed/3.5 bath floorplan with a beautiful sunroom that looks out upon the gorgeous oaks and in-ground pool of the corner lot’s backyard. Guests will learn more about the unique sourced and reclaimed decorative features indicative of Town’s old-world touches within his modern design.
Experience firsthand the extraordinary artistry of A. Hays Town. A Crowley native, Mr. Town (1903-2005) is one of the most recognizable and beloved architects in Louisiana of the twentieth century. During his 70+ years of practice, he designed a wide range of structures such as educational, public, office, commercial buildings, and hundreds of private residences. We we be taking an up close and personal look at the original attributes preserved and restored of A. Hays Town's in this lakeside property tour.
The tour will conclude the A. Hays Town exhibit's residence in Lake Charles. If you'd like to see a sample of his works, including drafts, interior design elements, and residential scale models, visit the ICM and tour his exhibit before this show leaves us on June 25th.
