More About Battle of the Badges
The Donaide Foundation is hosting the second Fishers Battle of the Badges Charity Softball game on September 24th at Holland Park in Fishers. The Fishers Police Department attempts to defend their title against the Fishers Fire Department. Please join us as we celebrate the sacrifices these First Responders and their families make, and we raise money to invest in their mental health.
There is no cost to attend this event. Feel free to contact steve@donaide.com if you would like to participate or if you have any questions. If you would like to donate or sponsor, please visit Click for Details
BEHIND THIN LINES PROGRAM
Depression, anxiety, post trauma stress and thoughts of suicide are all serious effects of working as a First Responder. Families are also greatly impacted as they watch their loved ones suffer. Due to limited resources, many police officers and firefighters are not able to get the help they need, and family members, in turn, do not get assistance either.
The Behind Thin Lines program wants to address this need by providing emotional, physical, and spiritual resources for First Responders and their families. We do that by fostering relationships within departments and creating opportunities for them to connect in community. Spouse groups, support teams, social gatherings, and fundraising events are just a few of the ways we carry out the mission.
