More About La Mesa Vineyards Wine Class
Learn the skills of wine tastings, February 25th 1:00 - 3:00pm. Led by our Star Winemaker - Antonia de Heinrich.
Have you ever felt you could improve your skills at describing how wines look, smell, feel and taste? Whether you are a seasoned wine expert or just discovering wine, this is the class for you. Join our star winemaker Antonia de Heinrich for a 2-hour session at our modern tasting room.
The event will be seated inside our comfortable tasting room. You will learn a systematic approach to wine tasting starting with appearance and nose to tasting the wines for a variety of attributes. You will be provided a sample flight of La Mesa wines and a tasting sheet to use to evaluate the wines and to take notes before sharing your observations with the group. In this discussion, Antonia will illustrate the differences in each of the wines, how to describe the wine’s entry, mid palate and finish, what it means for a wine to be balanced, have weight, acid and structure. By the end of this class, your confidence and knowledge about wine should be greatly enhanced.
The class is $25 for club members, $35 for non-club members. Take home a 4-pack or more of the tasted wines at 25% off. This class has always sold out early, so book ahead.
