Crafters' Gathering

Bring any low-mess craft (e.g., knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, coloring, origami, jewelry-making) and
enjoy meeting and sharing ideas with other crafters in this twice-monthly club.

Acrylic Painting (FEE)
Saturday, October 07: 10:00am - 1:00pm
Create a unique painting with assistance from local artist Mary Stang-Helm. Cash fee of $25 paid
at time of event covers all materials. Class begins promptly at 10:00 a.m.

All Ability: Smoky Cauldron Art
Tuesday, October 10: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Join us to create a smoking cauldron art piece complete with spooky elements. All Ability programs
are geared towards adults with specials needs but are inclusive to all. Registration required.

Create Your Own Paper Crafts (FEE)
Thursday, October 12: 10:30am - 12:30pm
Paper crafter Corie Kaz will be hosting a series of classes on how to make various paper crafts.
This class costs $10.00 to attend and includes most necessary materials. Please bring your own
glue.

Healthcare and Your Retirement

This seminar, presented by Steven Morzy, addresses steps investors should take to prepare for
health care costs (including Medicare & long-term costs) to ensure their retirement savings stay

Parents and caregivers of children birth - 23 months are welcome to chat with one another and
enjoy a refreshment while children explore with books and puzzles! Registration is required.

The Between the Lines Book Club reads "The Lost Apothecary" by Sarah Penner. Books for this

This is a program for children 2 & 3 years of age, with a caregiver, featuring stories, fingerplays,
music and a take home craft, that teach early literacy skills. Please register all attending.

Mother Goose on the Loose: Ages Birth - 23 months
Tuesday, October 24: 10:30am - 10:50am
Babies and toddlers, birth - 23 months of age, accompanied by their caregivers, will enjoy this
program filled with rhymes, books, music, and movement designed to help early literacy skills.

LEGO® Club (Grades K-5)
Thursday, October 26: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Children (completed grades K-5) may free build with the library's LEGO® blocks or build a
'challenge' project. Constructions will be photographed and put on the flyer for the next month's
program.

Bats of Indiana-Indiana Dunes National Park Presentation
Monday, October 30: 2:00pm - 3:00pm
A park ranger for the Indiana Dunes National Park will give a presentation of the bats of Indiana.
This is a family program, all ages are welcome. Please register to hold your spot.

Halloween Family Storytime (Costumes Optional)
Tuesday, October 31: 1:00pm - 1:30pm
Join us for a spooky good time, as we read Halloween themed picture books, and do a creepy
craft! Costumes are optional. Space is limited, each person in attendance must pre-register.
