More About Norse Mythology Golem Course

Welcome to Olde World Folklore
Create Your Own Mistcalfa Golem
A golem is a creature formed out of a lifeless substance such as dust or earth that is brought to life by ritual incantations and sequences of Hebrew letters. The golem, brought into being by a human creator, becomes a helper, a companion, or a rescuer of an imperiled Jewish community. In Norse mythology, for Mökkurkálfi (or Mistcalfa) was a clay giant, built to help the troll Hrungnir in a battle with Thor. The concept of golems has also found its way into a wide variety of books, comic books, films, television shows, and games.
During this course you will mold and create your own Golem with self drying clay after the Norse Mythology Clay Man. This clay once formed by your own hands will need to sit for 60 days as the myth states while it becomes comfortable in its new surroundings. We will go over proper places to leave your Golem. You will add specific letter and shapes and perform a charging incantation to activate your creation.
This course will be held on a special Friday night in November. As with all courses we teach with respect to the Olde World Traditions and teach our courses to continue the magic alive in us all. This specific Golem you will be creating is a wish Golem just as the Norse use to make. Where through desired will your creation will help and assist it to come into fruition, but as always …. Be careful what you wish for.
