Historian and storyteller Tammy Denease will take audiences on a journey as she portrays Bessie Coleman, the first African American woman to ever become an internationally licensed pilot. You will go on a voyage that begins in the segregated south of the United States, where the color of your skin could determine whether you lived or died, all the way to France, where self-determination - not skin color or gender - was what truly mattered.

Show will take place in the Visitor’s Center, red building adjacent to parking lot. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for March 23, 2024.
