Defying Period Poverty

Defy period poverty by helping out at this packing party hosted by Dignity Grows, an organization that fights to end period poverty.Join us for a special evening with Dignity Grows at The Bushnell to assemble 500 hygiene tote bags for community members in need and learn about Period Poverty and hygiene inequity here in CT and across the country. Volunteers will be treated to a special musical performance, backstage tour, and light refreshments, while making a difference for our neighbors.
Open to all. Over age 9, suggested. 
Dignity Grows is fighting period poverty in the US, with over 62 chapters in 27 states. Dignity Grows provides hygiene tote bags, each filled with a full-month supply of comprehensive hygiene items,  plus 2 full packages of sanitary pads. The’ve distributed over of 7.2 million free period products in the last four years!
