More About The Love Dogs-Summer Concert Series

Take one red-hot horn section—we're talkin' alto, tenor, baritone saxes, and trombone - down and dirty. Add liberal amounts of barrelhouse boogie-woogie piano and stinging Fender guitar. Pour over a funky and swinging rhythm section Blues Review magazine called "the best in the business," Top it all off with a crazy, charismatic frontman with one of the biggest blues voices around. Season with a few years on the road tearing up juke joints, festivals, and concert halls across the U.S. and Canada and on both sides of the Atlantic. Sound tasty? It's a recipe for music, mayhem, intensity, and irreverence; it's THE LOVE DOGS.

This show is part of the Summer Concert Series held in our outdoor amphitheater. So, grab your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a night of amazing music. Wine, beer, and soft drinks will be available at the event. The show will move inside our performance space in the event of rain. To make the arts more accessible to all, this concert is on a pay-what-you-can basis.

More About Hopkinton Center for the Arts

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts offers arts to all people.

Our classes, productions, and exhibitions serve an inclusive community of students, performers, and exhibiting artists diverse in age, ability, experience, ethnicity, and geography.

Among our innovative current programs:

* Visual arts instruction for developmentally disabled adults

* Music instruction for infants and toddlers

* Linkage with public school students and teachers, who use HCA as an educational resource in the arts and in leadership training

In the visual arts, theater, music, and dance, HCA annually offers over 200 classes to more than 1,000 students, from preschool to seniors, drawn from the diverse population of over 40 neighboring cities and towns. In 2015 we opened our new art center, with newly renovated classrooms, a new 200-seat performance space, and a new exhibition space. The Delbridge Family Performance Space and the Lotvin Family Gallery annually present dozens of productions and exhibitions by students and adults, amateurs and professionals. Created in 2011, HCA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts center, fosters and celebrates the creative spirit in everyone.
