More About Trunk or Treat at Lowell VFW Post 6841
The Lowell VFW Auxiliary, Hawthorne Arbor of Gleaner Life Insurance, the Rotary Club of Lowell, and the Lowell Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to join us on Saturday, October 26th from 6-8:00 pm for our community “Trunk or Treat” event at the Lowell VFW Post 6841 located at 17401 Morse St. in Lowell. We will be asking all who attend to make a donation of non-perishable items to help our local food banks.
We are asking local businesses to come join in and put a decorated “Trunk” in the festivities for the kids of the community to enjoy. This will be an inside event. We ask that if you are coming to the event with a “Trunk” please let Maria know as soon as possible. You will need to be at the post of the VFW no later than 5:30 pm. This is a kids event so please nothing too gory for the decorations but spooky and creativity are greatly encouraged. There will be specially crafted trophies awarded for the 1st -3rd place winners. The kids will be the judge of the best decorated “Trunk”.
In these uncertain times we wish to do something good for our community while adhering to all CDC health and safety guidelines. All candy must be wrapped. You may package them in individual goodie bags if you’d like. We encourage you to not only decorate your “Trunk” but also come in costume.The kids love seeing the adults dressed up too. If you are unable to attend this event, please consider some sort of donation or sponsorship to help make this event the best it can be.
