
More About Krewe of Omega Mardi Gras Parade
The 2027 Krewe of Omega Mardi Gras Parade will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2027 at 2:00 PM. Founded in 1970 by Joseph Moffett Jr., the Krewe of Omega was established to bring Mardi Gras festivities to the Black community while fostering social connections for both the young and elderly. As the first and oldest krewe in Southwest Louisiana to host its own parade, this event is a cornerstone of local Mardi Gras traditions.
Parade Route
The parade begins on the north side of the Lake Charles Event Center, traveling along Broad Street heading east to Enterprise Boulevard, then turning left onto Mill Street and looping back to the Event Center.
Parade Information
Lineup Details: Groups and individuals participating may begin lining up at the Lake Charles Event Center starting at 10:00 AM.
Entry Requirements: All parade entry vehicles must display a visible parade decal to qualify for participation.
