The next Lake County Fair will be August 7-16, 2026!
Set on the scenic Lake County Fairgrounds, the Lake County Fair is one of Indiana’s biggest and best summer traditions—running for 10 action-packed days starting the first Friday in August!
Whether you’re here for thrills or chills, we’ve got something for everyone: over 30 exciting carnival rides, daily horse shows, and free family-friendly entertainment like the hilarious Kids Buck Game Shows, Silly Safaris animal fun, and an adorable petting zoo. Feeling competitive? Jump into one of our free contests and show off your skills!
Wander through our exhibit halls bursting with incredible local creations—from 4-H projects and flower displays to handmade crafts and agricultural showcases. The barns are brimming with animals, and yes—you can meet baby chicks as they hatch!
Craving adrenaline? Don’t miss the roaring action at the grandstand with heart-pounding motorsports like truck and tractor pulls, Monster Trucks, mud drags, and demolition derbies.
And of course, there’s food—a lot of it. From fair classics to wild new flavors, our vendors serve up something delicious for every craving.
Don’t forget to check out the largest pumpkin or squash on display—you have to see it to believe it! The Lake County Fair is your summer escape packed with fun, food, and unforgettable memories.

More About Lake County Fair
The Lake County Fair is presented on the beautiful Lake County Fairgrounds and is one of the largest county fairs in Indiana. We run 10 consecutive days starting the first Friday of August each year. We have over 30 carnival rides, daily horse shows, daily free shows such as the KidsBuck Game Shows, Silly Safaris Shows, and the Petting Zoo. Enter in one of our Free Contests! Exhibit buildings are full of agriculture, arts and crafts, flowers, 4-H projects, commercial vendors, demonstrations and conservation. Our barns are full of animals to see. Our grandstand features motor sports events: such as, truck and tractor pull, Monster Trucks, mud drags, and demolition derbies. We have a huge variety of food vendors to satisfy any taste or for you to try something new! Come out and see the largest squash/pumpkin grown or see baby chicks hatched - we have something for everyone!
