Pear Filling
▢4-5 fresh pears washed and sliced
▢1/3 cup brown sugar
▢2 tablespoons cornstarch
▢1 teaspoon lemon juice
Oatmeal Crisp Topping
▢1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
▢1/3 cup brown sugar
▢2 tablespoons flour
▢1 teaspoon allspice
▢1/4 cup salted butter
Instructions
Pre-heat your oven to 400°F. Butter a 8×8 baking pan and set aside.
Combine all of the pear filling ingredients together.
Place in the prepared baking dish.
Combine the oatmeal, brown sugar, flour and allspice.
Cut in the butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the pear filling.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes, until topping is crisped and brown.
Remove and serve warm, with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
