9:00 AM Kids Olympics & Young Entrepreneurs Zone | Juneteenth Freedom Festival
Join us for a vibrant celebration of Black excellence, youth empowerment, and community fun at our Kids Olympics & Young Entrepreneurs Zone during this year’s Juneteenth Freedom Festival!
👟 Fit Family Olympics
Let the games begin! Kids of all ages are invited to participate in our Kids Olympics, a fun-filled series of friendly competitions designed to get them moving, laughing, and building team spirit. From sack races and relay runs to hula hoop challenges and tug-of-war, there’s something for every little champion. Medals, prizes, and lots of cheers await our young athletes!

10:00 AM: Senior Juneteenth Bingo Celebration
Join us for a joyful and educational celebration of freedom, community, and heritage with a special Juneteenth Bingo Game tailored just for our amazing seniors!
10 Regular games and 1 special bingo game, not your average bingo—each square is filled with historical facts, cultural symbols, and traditions that honor the legacy of Juneteenth. It's a great way to reflect, connect, and have a whole lot of fun while learning something new.

Celebrate freedom, culture, and community with us at our beloved Annual Juneteenth Movie Under the Stars event!
This year, we're thrilled to feature the groundbreaking film Black Panther—a powerful tribute to African heritage, strength, and unity. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and loved ones for an unforgettable night of cinema beneath the summer sky.

🕗 Time: Movie begins at sunset (Arrive early for the best spots!)

Day 5 Information Pending
11:00 AM Juneteenth Parade
Join us for the annual Juneteenth Parade, a vibrant celebration of freedom, culture, and community! This powerful event honors the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States and highlights the enduring legacy of resilience, pride, and progress.
The parade features lively marching bands, colorful floats, cultural performances, dance troupes, local organizations, and more — all coming together to commemorate this historic day. Bring your family and friends, wave your flags, and celebrate Black excellence, unity, and the ongoing journey toward justice and equality.
Come early, wear your red, black, and green, and be part of a joyful and inspiring celebration that brings the entire community together!
Parade Route: Fitzenreiter Road at he MLK Center, South to Simmons Street to Opelousas Street over to Goos Blvd back to MLK
1:30 PM Family Day Concert
3:00 PM Sauce Piquant Cookoff
Cooking begins at begins at 3:00 and ends at 6:00pm
Judging is from 6pm-7pm and the winner will be announced at 7:15pm
All entries are due by June 17, 2025. Entry forms can be found at 305 enterprise Blvd. or by scanning the QR code on the flyer.
Cooking Teams must provide all necessary cooking utensils, tables, pots, burner, fuel and any other items needed to complete the sauce piquant. Ice chests allowed only for items necessary for cooking.
Only 1 entry per team is allowed. (Sauce Piquant must be cooked on site)
Categories are: Chicken, Hen, Sausage, Turkey Necks, Turtle and Seafood ( a small roof 10 x 10 tent is recommended. NO trailers or Food Trucks)
Each team will prepare 5 plates for samples to be judged. JUDGING WILL BEGIN AT 6:00PM. Samples must be given in the containers/plates provided only! NO EXCEPTIONS! Judges samples must consist of gravy meat and rice.
Each entry will be judged by Appearance, Meat(seasoning/tenderness) Flavor and Overall.
1st 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded. Winners will be announced by Rusty Metoyer on stage.
Each team is responsible for cleaning up their area.
