More About McFarland Yard & Garden Waste Collection Week
The Village offers a fee-based curbside collection service for yard and garden waste. A one-time use, non-expiring $2 sticker is required for each yard waste bag, up to 50 gallons, and are available in multiples of 5 from the McFarland Public Works building. Stickers may be purchased with cash or check. If stickers were purchased, please call the Public Works Department to inform the department that bags are available for pick-up.
All materials should be placed into open bags or trash containers by 6 am on Monday of the collection week. A single pass through the Village will occur. Each bag must have a Village-issued sticker on it in order to be collected. Stickers need to be purchased prior to the week of pick-up.
Collection will accept leaves, garden waste, thatch, grass clippings, non-woody plant materials, and evergreen clippings less than 6 inches in diameter. All materials should be clean of debris.
