Childhood obesity is a serious health problem in the United States where 1 in 5 children and adolescents are affected. Childhood obesity puts kids at risk for health problems that were once only seen in adults, such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. There are opportunities to change these trends.
