More About Dickens Street Faire
Organized with pride by the Old Town Elk Grove Foundation, the Dickens Street Faire marks the traditional commencement of the Elk Grove Yuletide Season. This annual event, held on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving, promises your entire family a delightful and thrilling experience. Witness Santa's dramatic rescue by our esteemed fire department. Wander through Old Town, discover local shops, relish holiday music, explore craft and vendor booths, savor delectable holiday foods, meet enchanting Christmas characters, and socialize with your friends and neighbors.
Elk Grove Boulevard will be bustling from 2nd Avenue to School Street this year, with over 145 arts and crafts vendors, commercial vendors, and community groups. Conveniently located in the Old Town Plaza, food trucks will cater to your culinary cravings. The day will be filled with free entertainment, including live music and performers, professional photo opportunities with Santa, Christmas carolers, and more. And for our young guests, we have a particular treat- a FREE kids' craft corner in Old Town Plaza TINY TIM'S ALLEY from 10 am to 4 pm.
At 5:00 pm, the sun sets, and the vendors will close up shop but stick around for Christmas carols, continuous live entertainment, and Story Time with Santa. Make sure to join us for Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:00 pm. Santa will flip the switch to light the town Christmas tree on Walnut Street.
