More About Open House Invitation | Gems @ The Arts
Dear friends and community partners,
I’m writing with a heavy heart to share an update about our December 11th gathering at Gems @ The Arts.
As many of you may now know, our community has suffered a devastating loss.
Nathalya Samaniego and her mother Leila Mendieta tragically passed away in the recent fire. Their passing has shaken everyone who knew them: youth, families, team members, partners, and neighbors across Framingham and beyond. Nathalya was a bright light, a leader, and a source of creativity and joy within our community. Her presence shaped so much of the work that happens here.
In light of this tragedy, we will be shifting the intention of our December 11th open house.
We will still be gathering, but the focus will be different. We will be holding space to be in community with one another to support, to reflect, and to honor the impact that Nathalya and her mother had on so many lives.
We will also offer a gentle, meaningful activity for those who would like to participate, giving space for tribute, remembrance, and healing.
We know this news is heartbreaking, and we also know the importance of being together during moments like this. If you are able to join us, your presence will be welcomed with gratitude. If you cannot attend, we understand completely.
Thank you for your care, your compassion, and for holding our community in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
With warmth and heaviness,
Margie Rosario
