More About Christmas Under the Oaks and Holiday House
Let it snow! Sulphur jumps into the Christmas spirit with “snow” and festive events. Experience Sulphur’s Christmas Under the Oaks Festival, located at the Brimstone Museum Complex, 923 Ruth Street, in the heart of Sulphur at Heritage Square where music, entertainment and holiday shopping are at their height!
Festival dates are Friday-Saturday, December 4 & 5, with shopping available at the Holiday House on Friday and Saturday. The Holiday House will feature nearly 40 “shops” with a wide range of Christmas gift ideas. The event will also feature a preview party on Thursday with tickets available for advance purchase. Shopping hours are 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
This three-day event offers 30+ artisans, vendors and creators from across the region, carnival-style games, a bounce house, petting zoo, delicious food, and all of this, centered around the grounds of the beautiful and historic Henning Cultural Center and Brimstone Museum complex. Our sponsor gala on Thursday night brings the Christmas Season to you; enjoy this serene evening featuring the musical stylings, drinks and food, and your first pick of all the gifts, treats and artisan items from our amazing vendors.
Entry into the Holiday House on Friday and Saturday is $5. Carnival-style games and petting zoo will be from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday. Saturday at 11 am, enjoy the Sulphur Kiwanis Club’s annual Christmas Parade down Cypress St. and the arrival of Santa. Wayne Toups preforms live and the lighting of the tree takes place at 8 p.m. on Friday! On Saturday, you definitely don’t want to miss two live performances and 100% chance of Snow at 8:30 p.m.!
The Brimstone Historical Society counts on Holiday House as our annual fundraiser. By supporting and being a part of this yearly event, you are helping us continue our mission of providing historical preservation and cultural enrichment to SWLA.
