● WHEN: Dance 7:00-10:00pm [orientation session 6:45 - 7:00 pm]
● WHERE: Wesley U M Church's Gymnasium, 114 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608
● WHO: Anyone who wants Live Music, dancing, comradery and exercise! Bring your family, friends or just bring yourself to our traditional public contra dance! No fancy footwork needed to attend, just come, enjoy the friendly atmosphere, dance to live fiddle music and see everyone's smiling faces!

● LIVE MUSIC: by "FIDDLING THOMSONS" who are: Ryan Thomson, (left hand)fiddle; Brennish Thomson, (right handed) fiddle, and Damaris Rohsenow, piano! Ryan & Brennish are the recipients of the New Hampshire Governor’s Arts Award for Folk Heritage! They have performed throughout New England and to far flung venues in California, England, and China! Styles include celtic, appalachian, cajun, and international.
Damaris Rohsenow has been performing folk music since 1963. She currently plays hammered dulcimer or piano for contra and English country dances, with a focus on early American, 17th century English, Irish, French-Canadian, and Scottish music.
The Fiddling Thomsons are an exciting band you will not want to miss!
● CALLER: DON HEINOLD, from Rhode Island, has been a dance caller for over 15 years, and has been calling at weddings, parties & local dances
all over New England! Don is also well known for teaching the popular Rotary Waltz
frequently done at contra dances!! Don frequently attends the Worcester Dance and we are delight to have call for us!
● ADMISSION: (your choice) $10 - $12 p.p., $6 - $8 students, families $25. Donations are gratefully appreciated!
● FOOD: Donations of snacks for the break are wanted and gleefully appreciated!
● CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR: Just bring, clean shoes to dance in to preserve the floor (no high heels please). Dress is comfortable and as you like.
● ROLES: Are traditional: Ladies & Gents but these terms do not dictate the gender of any dancer. Worcester Dances are warm and inclusive events that welcome all people! Whichever role that works for you is fine and accepted!!
