The Earth Day Cleanup is the largest community service event in Minneapolis, with over 40 clean-up sites across the city. Since its inception in 2008, more than 25,000 residents have come together to remove over 175,000 pounds of waste.

How to Get Involved in 2026

The 2026 Earth Day Cleanup is a drop-in volunteer activity — no need to pre-register! Simply choose a clean-up site that works for you and arrive at 9:30 AM on Saturday, April 18th. Each site will have a coordinator to check you in, distribute equipment, and provide instructions.

The clean-up wraps up at noon, so be sure to bring your enthusiasm and help us make a difference! Thank you for your commitment to cleaner greener parks!
