Laugh your way out of the month and into the next at The Ideal’s monthly stand-up comedy showcase, presented by Lucky Cat Comedy & Events. On the final Thursday of each month, we turn the room over to a carefully curated lineup of local, regional, and nationally touring comedians.



April Headliner: Zach Martina
Zach Martina of Ann Arbor, MI is a standout voice from Michigan’s comedy scene who’s been turning heads on stages across the country. Known for his sarcastic wit and charming self-assurance, Zach pulls from his own life to unpack modern frustrations, often landing on the conclusion that someone else must be responsible. It’s certainly not him.



Raised in a family that feels custom-built for television, Zach grew up with parents who married and divorced each other three times, a gay brother who also happens to be a male model, and two sisters who embody equal parts sugar and spice. Against all odds, Zach emerged as the normal one, a perspective that fuels his sharp, observational style.



Zach has performed at festivals including Laughfest, Laugh Your Asheville Off, and The World Series of Comedy, and has shared the stage with comedians such as Michael Kosta, Rory Scovel, Tommy Johnagin, Tom Segura, and Lachlan Patterson. His singular energy leaves audiences thinking, “I’m not sure what he’s so upset about, but I’m very glad he is.”
