Town Historian George Munkenbeck presents this program on Islip during the American Revolution, exploring events leading to the Articles of Association, the formation of the Suffolk County Militia, the celebration of the Declaration of Independence, the shock of the Battle of Long Island, the subsequent British occupation, and other pivotal moments.
