More About Design Conversations: Britt Brewer
Design Conversations is a lecture and networking series hosted by the Columbus Design Collective, bringing together designers and design-curious professionals from across disciplines.
Join us for our second event featuring, Brittain Brewer, Owner of bbrewerdesign. In his talk, Collaboration - The Art and Heart of the Business of Design, Britt will explore how creative partnerships begin long before a career takes shape, rooted in personal passion, and evolve into the complex, dynamic relationships that sustain a professional practice. Reflecting on a career spanning more than four decades across architecture, corporate design, and academia, he will share insights on how collaboration transforms an avocation into a vocation, and ultimately into a thriving livelihood. Drawing from experiences ranging from work with Venturi Rauch & Scott Brown to NIKE’s in-house design collective, Brittain will offer a perspective on the essential role of collaboration in shaping both the process and practice of design.
The evening will begin with informal networking at 5:30pm, followed by the lecture and discussion at 6:15pm. Designers, students, and anyone with an interest in design are welcome to attend. All design disciplines are encouraged to join.
