More About Plymouth - “Fur Trade in Minnesota” Exhibit at Plymouth History Center

A traveling exhibit from the Minnesota Historical Society, the display showcases fur trading in the Great Lakes region and Minnesota during the 1800s, highlighting how abundant beaver and other furbearers brought together Native people, explorers and international trade networks. The exhibit runs Saturday, May 2 through Monday, Aug. 31.

Attendees may also check out goods from around the world that were traded for furs and crafts, as well as learn how furs were transformed into clothing, such as hats.

The exhibit is free and open to the public during normal business hours at the Plymouth History Center, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and the first Saturday of every month.
